I love trailers and marketing materials and writing and producing stuff like posters and promos and all sorts of other promotional items. I’ve made posters to sell projects and pitches, designed my own press kits for short films going to festivals for years now, and have grown really fond of making trailers for my creator-owned comics projects.
The trailer we dropped last summer for GREAT PACIFIC was such a hit, I decided to get my incredibly talented friends, Byron Wong (film editor) and Will Richter (composer) to collaborate with me on another. And goddamn if we didn’t top ourselves with this!
WARS IN TOYLAND will be released by Oni Press on July 10th, just in advance of Comic Con! Here’s a new interview with Adam Pollina and myself at CBR to set the table a bit.
